Various views of Plombieres les Dijon

This view is taken looking up stream beside lock 50 at Plombieres les Dijon. There is a barge going down in the lock, whilst on the bridge there is a small boy and a horse drawn cart. In the background there are two restaurants which are still open today.

The above photo is taken just below lock 50, in th foreground you have canal workers (chantanier) posing for the camera.

Another view of Plombieres, with the lock house, a barge in the lock, horse drawn cart and a mule crossing the bridge. In the background you can see the train station, which is no longer in use for public transport.
