La Bussière sur Ouche

Stop here, above lock 25 or below lock 26 (avoid the white house).

Visit the Abbey (click here for more information), the old village is just behind the abbey. The cemetary is also very interesting with five Commonwealth War Graves (Australian and New Zealand pilots.

There is only one bar left in the village and has a very freindly atmosphere. There is a great new baker in the village which replaced the Post Office.

Take the time to cycle or walk up the step hill to a hamlet called Saint Jean de Boeuf, thre is a very impressive panaromic view of the Ouche valley.
