Elisabeth charter cruises

Elisabeth charter cruises

The Elisabeth is an authentic "Luxemotor barge", these boats have a beautiful curved steel hull which is unique to this design of traditional barges. She has been beautifully restored by craftsman and decorated with style.

The barge is 97′1″ ft (29.6 metres) long and a 16′5″ ft (5 metres) wide, this provides the 6 guests with large comfortable cabins which can be configured as twin or double. The cabins have ensuite, opening windows and "laptop" sized safes.

The barge cruises between the villages of Venarey les Laumes and Tnalay on the River Yonne side of the Burgundy Canal. Travelling to the barge is very easy as there is a highspeed TGV train from Paris to a nearby station, but there also good autoroute connections if you're driving through France.

Onboard the barge

You'll have access to the WIFI, Bleutooth audio sound systems, there are 6 bicycles for exploring, central heating and air-condtioning, a large choice and stock of soft drinks and other beverages.

The sundeck is the place to relax, perfect for reading or cocktails and you have uninterrupted views to enjoy whilst cruising or moored.

You can also join the skipper in the wheelhouse and watch the manoevering and rope work used for the passing of locks as the barge navigates along the canal.
