Hire boat rentals

At lock 47 there is an independent boat rental base which began operating in 2006. A low cost and friendly cruise alternative from the larger companies. The price is very interesting for 7 day cruises and also weekend trips, with a capacity of 6 people, the boat is a great choice for a family or group of friends.

Self drive boat rentals

Check out the web site La Bourgogne en Eau for more information.

Velars sur Ouche in 1905
As you move away from Dijon, the canal begins to become interesting with the village of Velars-sur-Ouche. Although the canal does not go through the centre of the village, there are places to visit and examples of the traditional roof tiles of Burgundy.

Head up to Fleurey sur Ouche or down to Plombiers les Dijon.
