Nestled in a narrow valley between the Ouche River and the Auxois plains is the small village of Crugey.
The cafe and restaurant have now closed (but I think it's up for sale).
Below lock 17 there used to be an important "cement" mine, it is now demolished, although there are some traces of the construction.
There are good moorings near the bridge, although it's close to the autoroute.
