Louis de Funès plays the character called "Blaireau" the poacher.

There is a classic comic scene of a fishing competition which takes on the canal near Pouillenay, close by to Semur en Auxois and Montbard on the Yonne side of the canal.

"Chocholat" With Juliette Binoche and Johnny Depp, many scenes were filmed at Flavigny-sur-Ozerain and also Châteauneuf-en-Auxois

"Cyrano de Bergerac", a classic of French theatre by Edmond Rostand, some of the scenes were filmed inside the Abbey of Fontenay
